Aunty Marie was one of the most gentle souls I have ever met. She always had a sweet smile and kind words to say. She was a gifted cook, baker, & gardener. One of my fondest memory as a child was spending a week at Aunty Marie and Uncle Leo's farm in Birch River Mb. with Mom, Wendy, Reid and Grant This trip left a lasting impression on this city kid one I'll always treasure. Aunty Marie exuded a kind of peace that I know she now enjoys. With love, Bonnie, Bruce and family xo

I am so glad that I had a wonderful visit with Marie last summer. I had not sen her in many years, but remember spending time at the cabin at Denare Beach, the time we spent at their house and the huge beautiful Christmas cactus she grew, the wonderful meals we share with her and Leo. She will be miss.

It has been over 50 years since I have seen "Aunty Marie." But I have some memories from early childhood of her kind and welcoming spirit. We lived in Flin Flon at the time and also visited Marie and Leo at their summer home in Denare Beach. My mother Agnes Ewen...nee Ledoux...who passed away in 1996...always spoke so lovingly and admiringly of Marie.
I wish to express my sincere condolences to those who are mourning the passing of this lovely lady.
