Howard Daniel Cook

Dad, Howard Daniel Cook, was born on Wednesday, October 3rd, 1934 at Shoal River, MB. Dad peacefully passed away on Thursday, October 15th, 2015 at the age of 81 years, 16 days old at his residence in Swan River, Rainbow Lodge. Mom and dad were united in marriage on January 6th, 1958.

Dad lived most of his life in Sapotaweyak and The Bluff, then he moved to the Rainbow Lodge in Swan River, MB in September 2014. His last employment was ice fishing and with Elections Canada as an Electoral Officer. After that he retired to his hobbies of playing bingo, travelling around with Wilfred and he really enjoyed watching his

baseball. During spring he would go to Pelican Bay with his son James to do some geese and duck hunting and trapping.

There’s so much you could write about dad but all we can say is, “He lived life to the fullest and once again he is reunited with his beloved Clara.”

Dad will be missed by: his sons, James (Grace), Gilbert (Grace), Robert, Corey (Cynthia) and Chris; daughters, Brenda, Alma (Norbert), Charlene (Gary) and Noreen; grandson Wayne and granddaughter Kally; 45 grandchildren & 51 chapans; sisters Helen Stevens and Lily (Clemmie) Gott; sister-in-law Isabelle Cook & Vitalene (Roderick) Sinclair; as well as many cousins, nephews, nieces and friends with special mention to his friend Wilfred Cook.

Dad Howard was predeceased by: his wife Clara on September 25th, 2013; sons Kevin (1999) and Carl (1984); parents Angus (Aug. 1, 1993) and Harriet (Sept. 12, 1980); father and mother-in-law Adam and Caroline Cook and John Chartrand; brothers Sandy and Bena Cook, Rene and Albina Cook, Richard and Augustus Cook; sisters Evelyn (Bill) Simpson, Louisa (Lawrence) Zastre and Christina Moore; brothers-in-law Michael and Gilbert Chartrand, Maria and WM John Audy; Ida and Roderick Stevens, Blennie and Joe Genaille; grandchildren Joseph Cook, Curtis Brass, Jonathon, Katie, Nadine & Martina, Richard Contois, Curtis Genaille & Michael Lathlin; chapans Darci, Venice & Kiara; daighter-in-law Grace Cook (Scott) and nephew Stanley Albert Cook.
