Roland George Stevens/ Brown Buffalo Man AKA: CheeChee Boy

 Rolls of Wuskwi-Sipihk First Nation passed away in Brandon, Manitoba on March 26, 2019 at the age of 39 years. Roland was born in Swan River, Manitoba on November 27, 1979 to Frederick and Rubina Stevens (Nee Sinclair). Roland was the youngest of eleven children. He was the baby of the family. (such a big baby)

He considered foster Father and Mother Wayne and Marilyn Reimer his parents, whom he loved very much. He always tried to keep in touch with them, to let them know how he was doing and where he was. Roland loved to see and spend time with family and friends, it was especially a joy for him to see his nephews, nieces and grandpas. When anyone needed help, no matter who it was he would gladly lend a helping hand.

Roland enjoyed fishing, hunting, harvesting medicines, picking blueberries at Kettle Hills, where he spent many summers with his family. (being a scrungie picker)

He loved to sing powwow no matter where he was, he would sing loud and proud. He wanted everyone to hear him. Roland was a very proud Cree man. He was easy going, friendly, loving, caring, respectful man, who love to laugh and joke around. He will be greatly missed by the many people, who got to know this wonderful man. (especially Greg’s concubines)

Roland did have a few jobs during his life, he worked in construction, roofing and   Bipole project (hydro).

He also loved to play baseball with Central Cree, he was proud of the team and the players.

Roland is survived by two sons Cage Li Cook and Leanitis Stevens-Mckay. Foster parents Wayne and Marilyn Reimer. Brothers Francis (Lily) Greg (too many to name) Robert (Rita) Sisters Elsie (Larry) Twylla, Eva, Doreen. Uncles Nickleson (EmmaJane) Roderick “Groom” (Vitaline) Nikki  and numerous nieces, nephews and grandpas.

He was predeceased by parents Frederick Stevens and Rubina Sinclair. Grandparents George and Christine Stevens, Mariah Sinclair John William Kematch “Choonis”. Brother Roderick, Sisters Audrey, Jessica, Rhonda, Veronica Uncles Phillip, Douglas, Delbert, Jim Sinclair, Roland, Clifford, Calvin, Michael, Bert Brass, Roy and Bill Stevens. Aunties Mina Cook, Doreen, Eva, Rosalie Brass, Pauline Stevens. Nephew Lester Brass Jr. Neices Kerri-Lynn Cook and Tye-Lynn Stevens.
