March 1, 1946 – May 11, 2026
On May 11, 2026, Marv Copeland went to be with His Heavenly Father, peacefully in his sleep. He became a Christian at a young age and rededicated his life to Christ after meeting his soulmate Vivian (Goertzen, Sagert).
Two highlights in his life were the births of his Daughters, Shelagh in 1973, and Linsday in 1976. He loved them both so very much. He was proud of them. In 2001, he fell madly in love with Vivian and never ever stopped telling her how much he loved and adored her with every ounce of his being. Marv found room in his heart to love Vivian’s 3 sons and daughter and helped raise them into amazing adults.
His sisters Marlene, Colleen and half-siblings Doris, Eudene, and brother Ken held a special place in his heart. He loved them dearly.
Five more blessings came with the birth of each grandchild. Aidan, 20; Seth, 12; Peter, 10; Ethan, 8; and Bree, 6 months. HE had so much love to give to so many.
During his 80 years, he held down several jobs. He was a motivational speaker for Context Assoc. and Next Step Seminars. He also owned Diplomat RVs (Lethbridge). He was a service writer for both Ford and GMC. His last job was project manager for Focus on Employment.
His last 3 years were difficult as he struggled with numerous health concerns. He never complained and is now running laps in heaven.
His dying wish was to be able to see every family member In Heaven. He was not afraid of dying because he was ready to see His Lord and Saviour and then meet Family.
He is survived by his soulmate Vivian of 25 years. Children – Shelagh (Gerald), Lindsay (Jeremy), Jason (Lise), Justin (Jennifer), Jordan (Jessica), Janel (Krystofer). Sisters Marlene, Colleen (John), Cristine (Lonnie), and Marilyn. As well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents James (Budd), Ella, Harold; brother Ken (Betty) and grandson Cornelius (2012); half-sisters Doris and Eudene; father-in-law, Frank; brothers-in-law Roy & Lynn.
His funeral will take place on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at 2:30 at Paull Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation and internment will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Cornerstone Baptist Church.
Poem:
Just…. By Vivian Copeland
Just one more miracle, to the Lord I prayed,
I don’t want to see my husband’s body laid.
Just one more chance to say the things
Before he gets his angel wings.
Just one more time to hear his voice,
before in Heaven, he’ll sing and rejoice.
Just one more time to say, I love you, Marv…
To say the things, instead of wish it had been.
Just one last time, to hug, to kiss and cry
to hear him say, I love you and it’s not goodbye.
Just not too long, till Heaven he will be
waiting there with family, to welcome me.
Just… I love you Marv… and thank you God.
