Herbert Charles Boyce of Whitefish Lake passed away suddenly at the Health Sciences Centre intensive care unit in Winnipeg, MB on December 4, 2021 at the age of 77 years.
Herb was born in Flin Flon, MB on July 4, 1944 to Mac and Edith Boyce. He received his early education at the Little Woody one room schoolhouse and later he attended school in Swan River where he graduated with honours - receiving the Governor General’s Award for his graduating class.
He married Donna Gaylene Yeo on June 4, 1966 in Bowsman, MB.
Throughout adulthood, Herb worked as manager at the COOP in Kelvington, SK and Quill Lake, SK. Herb and Donna moved back to the Bowsman area in 1975 and started their own cabinetry and upholstery business. Herb then moved on to work at Swan Valley Cabinet, eventually purchasing the business and running it until his retirement at age 70.
Herb was an avid reader and enjoyed fishing and gardening. He enjoyed traveling with Donna to Sedona, Hawaii and other locales. He was an extremely talented craftsman and loved to make beautiful custom cabinetry including building two of his own homes.
Herb is survived by his wife Donna, his children, Trevor (Lori), Tara (Lee), Trina (Ron), Shelly (Howard), his eight grandchildren, his brother Dick (Carolyn) and many nieces and nephews. Herb also leaves behind his many foster children that he dearly loved.
