Eileen St. Germain Obituary

Eileen Virginia St. Germain was born December 8th, 1948 to Samuel and Helen (Paul) Gosselin in Swan River, Manitoba. Sadly, on March 2nd, 2021 Eileen passed away in hospital in Swan River, Manitoba.

Eileen was raised in Bellsite, Manitoba with her 7 brothers Lawrence, Arnold, Jack, Mike, Pete, Melvin, and Terence, and 3 sisters Velma, Doreen, and Clarice.

Eileen was talented in many aspects of her life. Eileen was an excellent cook/baker. All her family and friends enjoyed her homemade goods as they were always a treat, especially the butter tarts and homemade bread that couldn’t fit in the toaster. Coat hangers came in hand for toasting that delicious bread. You could always smell the aroma of her tarts and bread seeping through her opened kitchen window in the summer time. Eileen was also gifted with the scissors and gave family members haircuts, and she knew how to make the tightest French braid on beautiful long hair. Eileen had a heart of gold and was a loving/caring healthcare aid for many years up until retirement. Many people had great things to say about the way she provided care to her clients. Eileen enjoyed calling her sisters every day to keep in touch. If her phone line was busy for couple hours you knew she was chatting storm with her sisters. Eileen always had stimulating conversations with everyone she knew and could light up any room she walked into, always had a loving positive energy.

Eileen was predeceased by grandparents Mike and Marie Gosselin, Sarah Paul and Alec Langan, parents Samuel and Helen (Paul) Gosselin, brothers Jack, Arnold, Mike, Pete, and Lawrence Gosselin, sister Velma Edwards, sister in laws, Marion Gosselin and Beverly Gosselin, brother-in-law Dexter Jerome, nephews Clayton Gosselin, Samuel Gosselin, Karl Gosselin, Greg Sawchuk and Percy Bell.

Left to cherish her memory: Husband Marcel (Mugs) St. Germain; Children Eddie St. Germain, Dawana St. Germain, and David St. Germain, Sisters Doreen Jerome, Clarice Sawchuk; Brothers Melvin Gosselin and Terence Gosselin. Also left to cherish her memory are her grandchildren Dawson St. Germain, Alia St. Germain, Gabe St. Germain, Seth St. Germain, and great grandchild Marcel St. Germain along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She will be dearly missed.
