Dennis Earl Doan of Mafeking, Manitoba, passed away on May 25, 2026, just two days before his 78th birthday. Dennis was born in Swan River, Manitoba, on May 27, 1948.
Dennis was an entrepreneur throughout his life, involved in many different jobs and businesses over the years. He worked in logging before purchasing the Pool Hall and Barbershop in Mafeking, which prompted him to attend barber college in Winnipeg. Over the years, Dennis also owned a store and farmed, as well as working for Manitoba Manpower. Even after retirement, he continued driving taxi in Mafeking and later volunteered his time to ensure friends could get to medical appointments in Swan River.
Dennis was always looking after friends and family, often visiting “the Aunts” and spending time with his beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-great nieces and nephews. He will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and willingness to help others.
He was predeceased by his parents, Art and Edith; sisters Doris Page and Betty Hagman; and brothers Gerald Carter, Harold Doan, and Reginald Doan.
In keeping with Dennis’s wishes, there will be no service.
