Dawson Charles Calvin Hather was born on April 10th, 2001 and died suddenly on April 30th, 2022 at the age of 21 years. Dawson was born to Frances (Mary) Chartrand and Rodney Hather in Swan River, Manitoba.
Dawson was a happy little boy content to be at home with his family. He spent his evenings hunting with his brother Creed. Wherever Dawson was you’d find Creed not far behind. They were inseparable. Dawson went to school in Swan River, Gilbert Plains, Dauphin and Winnipeg. He had the blessing of being raised by two awesome dads, the other being Jerry Spence. Dawson had an unbreakable bond with his uncle Paul Genaille and Auntie Jenny who he called Mom as well.
Once Dawson reached his teenage years he met the love of his life at an early age, Mercedes Ducharme and out of their love for each other the second love of his life was born. His beautiful daughter Cheyanne Hather arrived on February 5th, 2017. Dawson was the proudest father. He doted on his beautiful baby girl and he was the happiest when with his lil family.
Dawson is our guardian angel who will watch over us as he joins our ancestors and loved ones who will guide him safely home.
Dawson leaves to mourn: his parents, Frances (Mary) Chartrand and Rodney Hather; his two loves, daughter Cheyanne and her mother, Mercedes Ducharme; grandparents, Gilbert Frances Chartrand & Anita (Hather) Quill; siblings, Sarah Chartrand; Creed Hather, Kierra Hather, Persayis Hather and Halo Chartrand; step-father, Jerry Spence; uncles, Paul Genaille, Dale Chartrand, Paullie Jr. Chartrand, Kevin Hather and Mitchell Hather; aunts, Jennifer Chartrand, Kayla Chartrand and Brittany Hather.
Both the Hather family and Chartrand Clan are in our thoughts in this time of need. May you all seek comfort in prayer.
Soar high, Dawson, with the ancestors and loved ones who have gone before us to prepare for our return.
