It is with great sadness to announce the passing of our mother Adeline Norma Chartrand, also known as (ADDY), on December 9, 2018 at the Dauphin Regional Hospital, Dauphin, MB
Adeline was born and raised in Shoal River, MB now known as Sapotweyask Cree Nation then moved to Winnipeg MB in 1972, where she raised her children, then moved to Ebb-N-Flow, MB where she remained and raised her grandchildren with the help of her husband Wayne Hunter: Eric Chartrand (right from birth), Samantha, Jennifer, Gwedolyn, and Thomas Chartrand, Eric Cook Jr. Nathaniel Pittman and Craig Taypotat. She also raised her great- grandson Colton Chartrand and great-granddaughters Alex and Chloe Chartrand.
Mom loved to come home to Sapotaweyak every Summer to spend time with her children and grandchildren and great-children, she loved to pick sweet grass while spending the summers in Sapotaweyak, and her favorite past time hobbies were, knitting reading, crossword puzzles and playing bingo, she loved spending time playing cards with her card buddies in Ebb-n-Flow, MB
Mom is survived by: Sons Earl (Delma) Brass, Larry Brass (Priscilla), Kenward Chartrand, Daughters: Geraldine Chartrand, Tracey (Martin) Campeau, Rhonda Chartrand (Merle), and May Rhonda Chartrand (Cecil), Sister Myrtle (Delbert) Bilow, and Brother Tom (Mary)Brass. and she always called as her own Albert Chartrand, Augustus (Brandy)Chartrand, Michael (Melissa)Chartrand, Stanley (Elizabeth) Chartrand, Martina, Chartrand. Her extended family sisters: Yvonne (Ernest), Velma (Frank) Campbell, Annabelle Tucker, Virginia (Clifford) George, Brothers, Martin Kematch, Edwin Kematch, also many nieces and nephews, grandchildren (28) and great children (61) and one great-great grandchild that she didn’t get to meet.
Adeline (mom) was predeceased by the love her of life Wayne Hunter, Louisa Zastre (mother) John Brass (dad), Lawrence Zastre (step-dad), Lawrence (puss) Brass (brother) and Rose Contois (sister), step-son Corey Chartrand Granddaughter Jessica Chartrand, Great-grandson Fleury Beardy.
To you mom,
You always said: I don’t have to worry about my kids, they are all doing good on their own,
No more pain and suffering now that you are in better place mom, you can take care of Fluery and Jessica they need you now and its okay., until we all meet again mom, we will miss you always but you never left ,you will always be in our hearts and each time we think of you, your letting us know in our hearts that you are okay.
