With heavy hearts we share the passing of our beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, Eva Elaine Jeffrey on January 22, 2018 at the age of 86.
Eva was the first born to Grace and Robert Hill on August 31, 1931 and sister to Donald Hill. She was born in Bowsman, Manitoba and spent her childhood on the family farm.
On December 15, 1950 she married Verne Richard Jeffrey and began their married life in Flin Flon, Manitoba. She returned to school in 1969 at The Pas Community College and earning a diploma in Business. Mom was employed by Ruse Lunam Chartered Accountants and Dr. Kucparic until her retirement in 1988 happily retiring to Bowsman. While in Flin Flon, she was an active member of the Royal Purple and enjoyed curling, camping and countless crafts. Together they raised their three daughters, Noreen, Debbie and Sandy.
In Bowsman, Eva was employed at the Saan Store and continued to quilt, woodwork and square dance. She always enjoyed chatting with her friends at the quilting sessions and square dancing groups.
Mom’s pride and joy were her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Each one had a special place in her heart and she enjoyed spending time with them teaching them gardening and making crafts.
Eva was predeceased by: her husband Verne who passed away in 1999, her parents and brother.
Left to cherish her memory are: her three daughters, Noreen Robb (Bob) of Calgary, Alberta, Debbie Latimer of Collingwood, Ontario and Sandra Reid of Creston, B.C. Her six grandchildren Tracey Michaud (Jeff), Tanya Page(Jody), Michael Latimer (Krystal), Jeffrey Latimer (Natalie), Mitchell Reid, Danielle Reid, and seven great grandchildren Ben Page, Lucas Page, Xavier Michaud, Jillian Michaud, Hudson Latimer, Landon Latimer and Charlee Latimer.
The family would like to announce that flowers are respectfully declined and that in lieu of flowers a donation in Eva's honour may be made to a charity of choice.
In keeping with Eva's wishes, cremation has taken place and she will be laid to rest in the Bowsman Cemetery, Bowsman, Manitoba following the memorial service and fellowship luncheon.
