Stephanka "Stella" Yacyshyn

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother       Stephanka “Stella” Yacyshyn at the age of 97 years.

Stella married Harry in 1943 and they farmed and raised their family in Durban from 1947-1979. They retired to Swan     River, where she got involved with bowling and bingo, which she enjoyed very much. She always had a garden, which was her pride and joy. When she moved into the Rainbow Lodge she was always looking for open space to plant something. She loved life and made many friends in her life’s journey.

Stella was predeceased by her parents Demetro and Anne Hominchuk; husband Harry Yacyshyn in 1994; son Eugene; grandson Timmy; sisters Mary Burtnack and Katie             Siolkowsky; and her brothers Mike and Bill Hominchuk.

Stella is survived by her children: Mary Ann & Leonard     Koskie with their children Corey (Shannon), and Crystal and their families; Dennis & Marilyn Yacyshyn and their children Terry and Lindsay (Jeff) and their families, Carl & Ollie Yacyshyn and their children Melissa (Blake), Brittany (Brian) and Kalya and their families Linda & Mike McCauley and their children Katlyne (Evan), Mandy (Kyle) and Bryan; daughter-in-law Sharon, Kelli (Ron), Shari and Tracey (Jeff) and their families; 21 great grandchildren; sisters Lilly Luzba of St. Catherines Ontario and Lena Heighway of Toronto,  Ontario and her aunt Frances Hudy of Melville, SK.
