Robert (Robbie) Nicholas Anderson was born on August 8, 1988, weighing 8lbs, in Swan River, Manitoba to Debbie (Bobick) and Stan Anderson. Robbie walked into the loving arms of his Grandma Bobick and Grandma Anderson on April 30, 2016 at the age of 27. Rob is survived by his parents, Stan Anderson (Laurie) of Swan River and Debbie Dekker (Rob) of Grand Rapids, Michigan; two brothers, Michael Anderson of Swan River, Manitoba and Chris Anderson (Michelle, Carter & Ellie) of Selkirk, Manitoba; grandparent, Nick Bobick of Swan River, Manitoba; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Rob graduated from Swan Valley Regional Secondary School in Swan River. He went on to search for his calling in life. One was definitely his passion for cooking and many a person would find themselves the lucky recipient of his famous deer sausage, pickled fish or some bear meat. He even tried his hand as Chef at Y Not Johnnys. But his love of the outdoors is what led him to Rough Country Sports, a place he loved and felt at home.

Rob and his family spent every summer at Wellman Lake where he learned to swim, fish and mostly play with his cousins & friends, although getting into trouble driving his cousins up and down the lane in the golf cart a bit too fast was common. He could be found heading down the "Grandma Trail" with friends/family in tow or sneaking that extra piece of pie from Grandma & Grandpa’s cabin.

Rob was always surrounded by friends in which he could be found blowing up the odd beaver dam, ripping thru the mountains on sleds, fishing, dirt biking, or simply picking an unfamiliar roads to tour down.

Rob loved animals and volunteered at the Animal Protection League where he fostered two kittens who became everything to him: Blaze & Bailey. Just last week he could be found at his Uncle Don & Auntie Cindy’s house laying on the ground covered with month old puppies.

Likeable is an understatement when it came to Rob. He had a fantastic wit and had the ability to make friends with anyone, of any age, and that ability made him one loveable young man. But that smile … it got you, drew you in and made you so glad you were part of his world. He was the kind of young man that anyone would be proud to call son, brother, uncle, grandson and friend. He loved life. Never a dull day, he lived life wide open.

Gone too soon, but will never be forgotten by all that had the privilege to call him friend and family.
