Norman John Guiboche
November 16, 1925 ~ November 25, 2016 (age 91) 91 Years OldAt an early age Norman was taught by his father Napoleon, important skills that would later help him become successful. He learned about the gifts of land and water. Norman was taught that if he respected land, water, they would provide all he needed. Norman became a successful hunter as well as a successful commercial fisherman. He spent most of his life on and around Lake Winnipegosis. This outdoors he called his backyard. He did travel and work in other fields such as pulp and mill industries, but home was his heart. He learned to become self-employed, be his own boss-that always left him with a smile. Norman worked tirelessly to create the dream that would eventually become having a loving wife and huge family.
He was extremely strong willed and proud to have survived an ever changing world. Ojibway was his first language but also a good English man! He was a warm and wonderful human being who always welcomed anyone into his home. Guests loved the stories he shared, whether humor or helpful teachings.
