Marie Clemetine Cooper

Born in St. Amelie, Manitoba on December 2nd, 1920, she was the only child of Frank and Rachel Vandenbosch. She spent her early years in the area and in 1937 she moved to Flin Flon. While there she met the love of her life “Leo”, and they were married on July 27th 1939. They enjoyed their years in Flin Flon. Besides working, they took part in many social activities.

In 1959 they moved to Birch River areas pioneering in the Birch River Lands project a work in progress for several years.

In 1975 they retired to Minitonas where they spent their summers camping, fishing, and gardening, which was Marie’s pleasure. At that time they spent their winters down south. Marie lost her best friend “Leo” in August of 1983. In 2003 she moved to Swan River.

She was a member of the Tent Town Garden Club, Minitonas senior and the Catholic Women’s League.

She was predeceasd by her parents, by five aunts and one uncle. She leave several cousins and their extended Families.

In keeping with Marie's wishes cremation has taken place with a service to follow at a later date.

Cremation has taken place at Heritage Memorial Gardens, Swan River, Manitoba
