It is with sadness that the family announces the passing of Kaylee, beloved daughter of Karen (Prosper) Gott and Gary Gott; sister to Kristen (Dakota), Cheyenne Prosper, Darnell (Aiyanna), Steven Gott, Summer Gott, Shannon Prosper, Kashton Sanderson and Tyrell Gott; granddaughter of Rita Prosper (Dale), and Joan Gott and great-granddaughter of Victoria John.

Kaylee was predeceased by her grandfathers Melvin Gott and Jerry Prosper; uncles Duane Gott, Trevor Prosper; and by great granny Mary Jane Prosper.

Kaylee “Red Horse Woman” was full of life from an early age. She loved dancing in the pow-wow world. She danced since the age of 11 months in the fancy shawl and jingle dress categories.

Kaylee enjoyed boat rides and all outdoor ways. She was very artistic and musically minded. She liked to play keyboard, practiced guitar and was starting to draw really well. Kaylee loved pets. She had special love for cats and dogs. Her favorite was a nine year old cat named “Dinkelman”. As soon as she could shoot, she loved to hunt with her pellet gun. Later she  practiced with her dad and cousin Felix Cook; shooting a 12 gauge shotgun.

Kaylee was starting to break from her shell and started singing again with her beautiful voice. Kaylee had a unique sense of humor and loved to tease everyone in the family. In public she was shy, but in the family, she was the life of the party. Kaylee loved encouraging her sisters Kashton and Cheyenne to dance, and practice. Kaylee loved to wear the crown as the Sapotaweyak Pow-wow Princess as she travelled to pow-wows.

It is a feeling of comfort to the family knowing that she will be dancing forever with her late grandpa Melvin Gott and great grandma, Mary Jane Prosper.

Not enough can be said of the spot in our lives that she leaves behind.
