John William Popoff
January 19, 1928 ~ September 21, 2016 (age 88) 88 Years OldJohn William Popoff of Swan River, Manitoba passed away at the Swan River Health Centre on September 21st, 2016 at the age of 88 years.
John was born on January 20th, 1928 in the RM of Livingston to the late Billand and Pauline Popoff. He received his education at Porcupine School.
During John’s life he worked as a farmer and a trapper until 2008 when he moved into Swan River due to poor health.
His interests and hobbies included reading and gardening.
John is survived by: his brothers George Popoff of Swan River, MB. And Sam Popoff of Brandon, MB.; sisters Doris Stroud of Bella Coola, B.C., Mildred Firomski of Rocanville, SK. And Judy Woytkiw of Swan River.
John was predeceased by: his parents Bill and Pauline Popoff; brothers Andrew, Alex, Fred, Joe and William; sisters Pauline Barnhart, Katie Kosolowsky and Margaret Woytkiw; and by nephews Lorne Stroud, Carman Barnhart and Dennis Woytkiw.
In keeping with John's wishes and in lieu of a funeral service,
a fellowship luncheon will be held on Saturday,
October 1st, 2016 beginning at 2:00 PM at
Heritage Memorial Gardens, Swan River, Manitoba.
Cremation has taken place at
Heritage Memorial Gardens,
Swan River, Manitoba
