It is with sadness that the family of Heather Marie Ellen Brow announces her sudden passing on Friday, November 6th, 2015 in the RM of Swan Valley West.

Heather was born in St. Thomas, Ontario on May 13th, 1963 to Harold and Patricia Pyatt. She resided in central Ontario for her early years and moved on to various places as the years went by landing in Cadillac, Saskatchewan and then finishing her teenage years in The Pas, MB. She moved to Birch River, MB where she gave birth to her son Anthony in 1987 and them moved to Swan River, MB. There, she had her daughter Zolena in 1989 and she raised her children as a single mother until she married Paul Brow in July of 1995, at which time they moved to Bowsman, MB. Heather and Paul completed their blended family when they welcomed their son James in to the family. Heather resided in the village of Bowsman until the time of her passing.

The foundation of Heather’s life was love. Her main interest in the most recent years were her grandchildren who spent a lot of time with her. She believed in being generous of herself and especially of her time. Heather volunteered with the Swan Valley Museum and the animal protection league.

Around 2000, Heather re-entered the employment world taking a job at the Hog Barn north of Bowsman under a number of different owners over the years. She also worked seasonally at Terry’s Greenhouse for a number of years.

In Heather’s spare time she loved to visit her elderly friends. She was an active genealogist, weaver and a collector of key chains having registered 8048 key chains at the end of her life. Heather and her husband had recently just begun an antique car collection and she had also joined a few car clubs.

Left to cherish her memory: her husband Paul Brow; her children Anthony Brow, Zolena Brow and James Brow; her grandchildren Damien Stevens and Ashlynn Brow; her father Harold Pyatt; her brothers Reynold Pyatt and Joe Pyatt; her sisters Mary Morgan-Smith; and Angie Badgely as well as her adopted grandmother Ellise Bartman and by numerous nieces and nephews.

Heather was predeceased by: her daughter Talitha Brow; her mother Pat Plaxton and her step father Bob Plaxton.

A visitation service will be held on Monday, November 16th, 2015 at 7:00 PM from the Chapel of Paull Funeral Home, Swan River, Manitoba. Cremation will take place at Heritage Memorial Gardens, Swan River, Manitoba and Heather will be laid to rest at a later date in the Crandell Cemetery, Birch River, Manitoba.

In lieu of monetary donations, the family asks that you would donate your love and time in some way as Heather felt this was an important aspect of her life. “Play with some children, visit the elderly or support a community function.” ~ The Brow Family
