It is with sadness, we announce the sudden loss of our dear father, brother and grandfather, Andrew Charles Brass, on February 18th, 2017 at the age of 53 years, in Vancouver B.C.

Andrew is the son of the late Sidney D. Brass (1966) and the late Doreen B. Brass/Sinclair (2004). He was born on Friday, April 29th, 1963 in Birch River, Manitoba. Andrew was raised at Sapotaweyak Cree Nation before moving to Winnipeg, Manitoba and then to Vancouver, B.C. where he resided until the time of his passing.

Andrew was a caring son to our mother and stepfather Alexander G. Genaille (2002), as well as a caring father to his children. When Andrew was growing up he enjoyed nature, duck hunting, and visiting choom Andrew.

Andrew’s past times were visiting family, hanging out with friends and he liked playing guitar and listening to music. Andrew had a kind, gentle spirit and he came from a large extended family.

Andrew is survived by his children Amanda, Shannon, Jesse and Keith; grandson Leo Harden-Campeau; brothers Colin (Lorraine), Russell (Bernice), Eldon, Norbert (Aima), Gilbert and Donald (Marilyn); as well as numerous uncles; aunties; cousins; nephews and Nieces.

Andrew was predeceased by his parents Sidney and Doreen Brass; stepfather Alec Genaille; brother Harvey; sisters Barbara and Eileen; as well as numerous uncles; aunties; cousins; nephews; nieces and Choom Andrew Charles Brass (1900-1989).
