Amelia Adeline “Emily” Soloway of Minitonas, Manitoba passed away in Swan River, Manitoba on March 20th, 2017 at the age of 70 years.
Emily was born in Pine River, Manitoba on August 26, 1946 to John and Caroline Soloway. She received her education in Renwer, Manitoba (Fisher Siding School) as well as in Minitonas, Manitoba.
Emily grew up in Renwer and moved to Winnipeg in the early 60s where she later became a Nanny. At the age of 18, married Robert Noros and shortly after welcomed their first bundle of joy, a daughter Katherine (Kathy) into the world in 1964. They then made a big move to Richmond, B.C.; where they were blessed with a second beautiful daughter, Laura-Lee (Lori), who was born in 1966. A year later they moved to Surrey B.C. In 1970, the family then resided in Maple Ridge, B.C. Emily enjoyed being a mother and housewife until the girls were old enough to go to school. Emily then re-entered the work force, as a waitress at the Belevita where she loved meeting new people. Then she moved onto being head cook at the UBC Research Forest. In 1982 the family moved back to Renwer, Manitoba where Emily ran the Post Office till her early retirement in the mid 90s.
Emily loved fishing with family; visiting with family and friends; travel, gardening; dancing, bird watching, bowling, playing cards; bingo; picture albums and crochet.
Emily is survived by her daughters Kathy Standryk (Gord) and Lori Noros-Adams (Rick); companion Stewart Brown; grandsons William Standryk (Samantha) and Michael Standryk; great grandchildren Chloe and Lincoln Standryk; sister Diane Tripp (Delbert); brother Norman Soloway (Yvonne); as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Emily was predeceased by her parents John and Caroline Soloway; brothers Barry and David Soloway and by her son-in-law Richard Adams.
