Alex Herbert McKay

Alex Herbert McKay of Swan River, Manitoba passed away at the Swan    Valley Health Centre on March 18th, 2016 at the age of 76 years.

Alex was born in Beaverlodge, Alberta on April 27th, 1939 to   Henry and Lorna McKay. He grew up around Novra and Birch   River, Manitoba and received his education there.

The last seven years of Alex’s life were spent with his loving partner, Gladys McKay (nee Cleuniou). Together, they lived in  Bellsite until moving into Swan River in 2011. Alex enjoyed hunting, dancing, visiting his cherished friends and farming.

Alex is fondly remembered by: his partner Gladys McKay; two sons, Karl (Tina) and Richard (Lorraine); one daughter, Arlene; 8 grandchildren; Gladys’s children, Clifford (Kathy), Georgina (Erin), Leon (Maxine), Michael and their families and one sister, Tressie of Winnipeg, MB.

He was predeceased by his parents as well as two sisters and one brother.
