Eldon Paull and his family began planning a combination property development (Funeral Home, Crematorium and Cemetery) approximately ten years ago, and with assistance from a landscape architect, arrived at the current planned property design.

We have decided to make a "Community Cemetery Legacy Development", due to the Paull family's 100+ years in the Swan Valley. In this way, we can give back something to the community. History is important to us, and tomorrow's history begin today.

We have acquired sufficient land for long term development, totaling 38 acres zoned for cemetery use. Our landscape architect predicts it will be available for 400 years of conventional earth interred burials, not including cremation gardens or other burial areas. Their concise plans show the property's maximum utilization.

In 1999, over 1000 trees were planted on the property's west side with the assistance of the Boy Scouts of Canada. That summer, construction began on the crematorium and reception centre facility. The crematorium was fully functional in September of that year, and use of the building began on December 1st.

Presently on site is our local crematorium, reception and resource centre, which includes a private family chapel, cemetery office, memorial sales office and display room, reception facility, and the first development of the cemetery property. There is an outdoor columbarium for the interment of cremation urns.

The first cemetery section we have opened contains approximately 200 adult "traditional" earth burial sites, and a cremation garden area containing 68 cremation urn earth interment sites. This garden has the outdoor columbarium, which has 32 niches above ground. Pre-purchasing of all grave sites and urn niches are available now.

We believe these new options regarding burials of cremated remains and the legacy development of the conventional cemetery property will greatly enhance and retain some of the heritage of out community in the future.
